Environment and Sustainability
Image@Work is very aware of our environmental responsibilities and as such we are totally committed to:

  • - Reducing our environmental impact.
  • - Continually improving our performance in this area.
  • - Encouraging our clients and suppliers to work with us to achieve our environmental objectives and targets.

To demonstrate our commitment, we operate in accordance with a robust Environmental Management System (EMS) which is detailed in the business model below:

Environmental Policy

Central to our EMS is our Environmental Policy which details our:

  • Principles and commitments.
  • Aims and objectives.
  • Compliance with legislation and regulations.
  • Performance improvement.

To encourage and engage our personnel to be environmentally aware we have introduced the following initiatives:

  • Recycling
  • Water Conservation
  • Temperature Control
  • Cycling To Work
  • Cutting Electricity Usage
  • Energy Saving Lighting Systems
  • Reducing Wattage

Recycling
Image@Work ensures that, where practicable, materials are recycled in order to provide an extended life or alternative use, thus minimising waste and its potential impact on the environment.

Water Conservation
An adjustment to the strength of water flow from our taps has delivered a significant reduction in water usage.

Temperature Control
During reasonable time when the factory is not in use and no personnel are present, the heating systems are turned down as much as possible but not to the detriment of the fabrics.

Cycling To Work
All personnel are encouraged to cycle to work so as to reduce carbon emissions.

Cutting Electricity Usage
All equipment and appliances, when not in use, are switched off to reduce electricity use.

Energy Saving Lighting Systems
Our lighting systems are regularly checked and updated to ensure they are as energy efficient and environmentally friendly as possible. The tubing, light bulbs, wiring and any other associated parts to the systems are, where possible, replaced by more efficient and energy reducing alternatives. This helps Image@Work reduce our carbon dioxide emissions.

Reducing Voltage
The machinery used by Image@Work is always purchased with great consideration towards power output levels.
